The lovely people at Brush Baby UK kindly sent the kiddies some toothbrushes and toothpaste for us to review.
The children have been using them for the past 4/5 weeks and they love them!
Harriet was sent the Super Sonic Electric Toothbrush for ages 6+. I loved how the toothbrush and toothpaste both have the dog design so she knows which one is hers. When you push the button to turn the toothbrush on it lights up, and you press it again for it to start. The toothbrush vibrates for 2 minutes and pulses every 30 seconds to help the child to learn to do each section of their teeth. I think this is a great way to teach great dental hygiene. We also received the Mild Spearmint Toothpaste for ages 6+ for Harriet. Harriet likes the taste of the toothpaste, she said it’s not too strong so it’s nice.
Elsie was gifted the Baby Sonic Electric Toothbrush. This toothbrush came with two different heads as it can be used from birth, one head is 0-18months and the other is 18-36months. The toothbrush does the same as Harriet’s, vibrates for 2 minutes and pulses every 30 seconds. We were gifted the Peppermint toothpaste for Elsie and George which is for 0-3 years.
George was given the Brush Baby My First Toothbrush and Teether Set. The teether has soft silicone bristles which massage his gums and help clean his gums. He doesn’t have any teeth yet but we always brush his gums so he’s used to having his teeth brushed when he gets them. It has a flower guard that goes around it and the handle makes me super easy for George to hold. It can be placed in the fridge so it’s cold and we you can put a tiny smear of toothpaste or teething gel on it. The toothbrush has a tiny head which comfortably goes into George’s mouth. The soft bristles are gentle on his gums. It also has a long handle which is easy for me to hold and brush but also easy for George to hold so he can practice himself.
At Elsie and Georges age I only use a smudge of toothpaste so they don’t swallow too much. All the Brush Baby toothpastes contain Fluoride which helps strengthen their tooth’s enamel, protecting them from tooth decay. It also contains Xylitol, which prevents bacteria from producing the acid that rots teeth. The toothpastes have a subtle flavour so that babies and young children don’t find it too strong. They’re also gluten, dairy and soya free, making them suitable for children with allergies.
In our parcel there was also 2 sticker charts and stickers so we can keep track of when they brush their teeth. And lots of informative leaflets about oral hygiene.
A massive thank you to Brush Baby UK for our fantastic gifts. The children really enjoy brushing their teeth now and the sticker charts have worked wonders. Brush Baby products are sold in many retailers, as well as on Amazon or their own website www brushbaby.co.uk
